Blue Truck/Model T

All my students from preschool to high school have been working on this project for the last couple of weeks. I am so pleased with how they turned out. The younger students drew a blue truck by directed drawing and used construction paper crayons to add color. The older students drew a Model T from observation and used colored pencil. The back grounds were painted using puck tempera and liquid white tempera paint. This technique was new and was a bit of a challenge. The paper absorbed the paint very quickly. I think this challenge was good though, as it forced them to take a more painterly approach. Final details were added with marker.

Rarely does a project work for such a wide age range. I think everyone was challenged, and they all turned out great!
