This week almost everyone completed their winter collages.  This has been a great project.  Each mini lesson provided learning opportunities and a lot of fun.  I loved seeing it all come together.  Students had to make decisions on the placement of the elements of the  their landscapes.  Some added extra details and created a story line for their characters.  Once all the pieces were in place, we added Mod Podge and glitter snow to really make it a winter wonderland.  I’m not sure I would do a month long project every session, but I do think there is a lot of value in doing this now and then.
