Fall classes have begun at Corbie Arts, and we are off to a great start!  We started by reading The Fantastic Jungles of Henri Rousseau by Michelle Markel.  Then we drew our own jungle with Sharpie markers on watercolor paper.  Our goal was to create dense jungle scenes, full of plant and animal life.  I helped them get started with a lion and then encouraged them to use their imaginations.  I love the results, so much creativity!  Next week, we will finish painting these in watercolor and use colored pencils for details.
