This week, my K-2nd grade classes are drawing hot air balloons.  We first read “Sebastian and the Balloon” by Philip Stead.  The balloon in this book is made of quilts, which was a great introduction to our project.  After drawing a simple hot air balloon, we filled each section of our balloons with pattern.  Next week we will add color.  These are really looking great so far!
